A Generation in Hip-Hop
Jan. 26, 2010
Author:  Jon-Michael Puglionisi
Category:  Non-fiction: Pop Culture
Description:  A Generation in Hip-Hop written by my client Jon-Michael Puglionisi isn't your average run-of-the-mill book. It is hip-hop like it's never been read before. There's never been such a well-rounded collection of ACTUAL hip-hop journalism on the shelves.
A Generation in Hip-Hop features candid interviews with close to 300 hip-hop artists such as superstars like Ludacris, Chamillionaire, Nas, Rick Ross, and Soulja Boy just to name a few. Interviews with people who represent every aspect of hip-hop such as DJ's rappers, moguls, and producers will also be included. It even features interviews with some of the cast members of The Wire (including Tristan Wilds who is now the star of Beverly Hills 90210) as that was a show that resonated with the hip-hop audience. In addition to these interviews which have been compiled and written by my client over the past 18 months, he will also include his extremely popular columns on hip-hop which were read by thousands of people weekly on the Internet. Some of these columns are: "Top 50 Greatest MC's of All-Time", and "500 Greatest Hip-Hop Songs of All-Time. As an added bonus, a free mixtape put together by my client will be included with the purchase of the book.
This book is for any hip-hop fan, from the die-hard fan who loves hip-hop from every part of the world to the fan who only loves hip-hop from their small town. It's diverse in that sense. The book also offers commentary on the interviews to give fans a closer look at their favorite artists. My client gives an inside look into the artist's personality. Readers will also get a glimpse at hip-hop journalism, which is just as much a part of this genre as the music itself. With where hip-hop stands right now with its massive popularity, this book has the potential to be a huge seller. There is no book like it on the shelves. From hip-hop websites, magazines, conferences, events, and its position in the mainstream, I strongly believe that from a critically and sales standpoint there are so many ways this book can be sold.
