I write erotic romance as well as erotica. I indie published my own ebooks on Kindle and Smashwords. Enthusiastically at first, I wore many hats in the effort to get my work out there. While it has paid off to some degree, I now have a much greater respect for the massive amounts of time and effort it takes from many people to properly get a book to market. With this newfound wisdom I have come to the conclusion that an agent and larger publishing house (larger than myself, that is) would benefit my work infinitely.

Some background about myself:
I graduated a year early from NYU with a degree in Sociology. I worked in Hollywood after that for a year (at Trimark Pictures). After a short stint in law school (only 1st year at Fordham), I returned home to invest in real estate which I have been doing for the past eight years. It is my success in real estate investing that has allowed me the time to finally pursue writing as a full-time career.

I have been writing off and on since I was a child and I am an avid reader (but really, what writer isn't?). I chose erotica as my starting niche because I have read so many poorly written stories over the years and knew I could do better (and what writer doesn't think that, too?). I also chose it because I figured it was a nice way to make a little money while working on my writing chops rather than toiling away in hopeland. Sex does sell, even poorly written sex. And I read somewhere that Erotic Romance is one of the fastest growing genres in the marketplace (along with inspirational-go figure).

I quite liked this one. Of course, it's about a cheerleader, so it doesn't get much better than that for me. There were other stories, of course, and they were also as hot. I liked the fact that it was an easy to read book and it was fun, too, which is always good. I'm glad I took the time as it was hot, hot, hot.
