ADDISON, TX, July 14, 2010 — Reece Manley announced today that he has signed a publishing contract with Varsity Prints for his work All Gays Go to Heaven. The terms negotiated were the largest concessions ever made by the young publishing firm Varsity Prints.

“Don [Weise] with Alyson was kind enough to share his thoughts with me, and, for my next work, a novel I’m working on now called The Last Bus from Sunray, may indeed find itself on the way to Alyson. But, for this work, the sophomore effort of my career, I needed a publisher who could move swiftly and powerfully when and where I found the support,” says Reece.

Because Varsity is a young publisher they are able to move more quickly working with the ups and downs of opportunities for marketing efforts. In addition, Reece was able to negotiate better terms than the standard contract. “Together, the combination made a very compelling offer and an exciting one.”

In addition to traditional marketing, Reece Manley has secured endorsement from Las Vegas Headliner Frank Marino. “The book is an incredible read and belongs on everyone’s bookshelf - especially if you are a GLBT person. It’s a book about challenges and victories. Just an incredibly honest book,” says Mr. Marino speaking from Las Vegas.

All Gays Go to Heaven has already secured five star professional reviews from Pacific Book Review and has been the fastest rising work on Fanstory.com. Reece will begin a blog tour and has launched a Facebook fan page at www.facebook.com/allgays as well as efforts on www.queerbook.com.

Youth First Texas Stands to Make $1,500.00 on Author's Ingenuity

"It was a originally intended to simply make the work easily readable for agents and publihser's considering the manuscript," says Reece Manley, etablished spirituality expert and progressive Christian writer. "My new memoir - All Gays Go to Heaven - which focuses on the years from the beginning of living with daily chronic pain through today's victories large and small is a bit long. With the cost of publish on demand being lower than Kinko's, it made sense to 'publish' the Galley Version with needed disclosures."

The result is a perfect bound 7x10 version, clearly marked "Galley Copy" and "Not for Resale". However, the GLBT Youth Advocacy Cause Youth First Texas worked out a unique fundraiser with the author. "We were able to have Dr. Manley issue 200 Galley Copies for sales which benefit Youth First Texas. The collectibles represent an outstanding value for collectors including an author coupon for a signed copy of the final edition," says Renee Baker, board member of Youth First Texas.

Most of the galley copies have now sold and very few remain for the collector. "We'll be needing the remaining copies for agents and publishers," says Reece. "However, the full 200 allotment for Youth First Texas will be available through the end of June."

Manley Severs Ties to Red Carpet/Butcher

Citing creative process differences, Reece Manley has fired Red Carpet Marketing in regards to any representation to All Gays Go to Heaven or any of his other works, written or planned.

"It is best to admit mistakes in judgement early in business dealings than try to overcome them after the die is cast," says Reece Manley. "Red Carpet is very adept in their industry, however, that industry does not include publishing."

All Gays Go to Heaven is still considering representation and has received offers from numerous skilled persons. "We regret some of the offers we have passed and look forward to upcoming ventures which may grow forth from our ongoing sincere interests in offers a better fit than Red Carpet."

Much Anticipated Gay Memoir Nears Completion

Reece Manley is best known as a spirituality expert and progressive Christian author. However, before he came to take his role as a writer and pastoral counselor, he had lived a life challenged by incest, cocaine addiction, and physical abuse from a longtime companion and a severe neurological injury from a surgeon’s slipped knife.

“In 2008, I died. From there, things got interesting,” says Reece. “I had been taught from an early age that hell was my destiny because I was gay. I crossed during a five month battle with MRSA Pneumonia while on life support.”
