Joelle Delbourgo Associates is a full service agency dedicated to discovering literary talent, helping authors to build their platforms, and developing authors' careers over the long-term. We focus on a wide range of nonfiction and very selectively, quality fiction and commercial fiction.
JDA seeks authors who bring a unique perspective to a subject, write in a distinctive voice, present breakthrough research in a way that can reach a broad audience, and/or are leaders in their fields. We represent novelists, memoirists, historians, journalists, doctors, psychologists, lawyers, mompreneurs, CEOs, chefs, philosophers, celebrities, educators, fine art photographers, and more. Our books win awards, become bestsellers domestically and internationally, are translated into many different languages and formats. We hope to bring a writer's work to as many readers as possible in a rapidly changing world in which readers access entertainment, literature and knowledge in many different forms.
JDA's team of agents, editors, writers and a publicist work to develop new ideas, grow author platforms, develop brands, consult on social media tools for authors, and help to market and publicize our clients and their work.
Before founding the agency, Joelle Delbourgo held senior editorial and publishing positions at major houses such as Random House and HarperCollins. She brings her passion, editorial craft, proven reputation, and the in-depth knowledge of an editor, marketer and publisher to agenting. Joelle Delbourgo is a member of the AAR, The Author's Guild and Women's Media Group.
Agent Molly Lyons, spent ten years as a magazine editor and writer prior to joining the agency.
