Alanna Ramirez began her publishing career in the editorial department at the Berkley Publishing Group and later went to the publicity department at HarperCollins before coming to Trident to work with Ellen Levine. At Trident, Alanna has also been the audio rights Agent and worked directly under Chairman Robert Gottlieb. Alanna has had the privilege of working with such esteemed authors as Christopher Andersen, Russell Banks, Debra Ollivier, Peter Orner, Mary Morris, and T. Jefferson Parker. She has sold book excerpts, short stories, and essays to The Atlantic, BOMB, Granta, Harper’s, Ladies Home Journal, The New Yorker, Salon, Slate, and Virginia Quarterly Review, among others. Her interests include literary fiction, narrative nonfiction, memoir, pop culture, food and wine, and lifestyle books. Current clients include Dana Bate, Lori Brighton, Dixie Cash, Caprice Crane, Rosalyn Hoffman, Anna Jeffrey, Brian Katcher, Ian Mount, Hal Niedzviecki, Kate Perry, Frank Sennett, Sarah Sheard, James L. Thane, John M. Thompson, Alexander Yates, and Karen Spears Zacharias. She holds a B.A. in History and Journalism from Rutgers University.
Trident Media Group is one of the most successful literary agencies in the world.
