International bestseller SECRET DAUGHTER by Shilpi Somaya Gowda
|
PLEASE NOTE THAT COLLINS LITERARY IS NOW AYESHA PANDE LITERARY.
Ayesha Pande Literary is a full-service boutique agency with a small and exquisite client list. We manage every part of our clients' careers, from short story submissions to editorial consultation to brainstorming with publishers about marketing and publicity, to selling foreign and other subsidiary rights through our extensive network of agents. We have introduced many new voices to readers and are always on the look-out for those writers who bravely grapple with difficult themes, who take risks, who seek to innovate.
I am a former editor with twenty years of experience in publishing. Before becoming an agent, I was a senior editor at Farrar Straus and Giroux. I have also held editorial positions at HarperCollins and Crown Publishers, a division of Random House. I am looking for clients whose projects match my eclectic interests, from literary to popular fiction, including women's, African-American and international fiction. I also represent nonfiction, including memoir, biography, history, popular culture, cultural commentary, science, and some how-to.
I believe that to survive and thrive in this rapidly changing publishing environment authors must regard the online realm as a great opportunity to spread the word about their work. In order to guide them effectively, I am learning everything I possibly can about social media! Follow me on twitter at @agent_ayesha and visit our Facebook Page.
