The Story

Ex-priest and dyslexic expert of ancient languages, Jack Fisher, agrees to assist an Israeli friend and expert of religious history; and is drawn into an unsolved mystery of the Dead Sea Scrolls. His discovery of the true meaning of the Copper Scroll threatens to expose the three religions of Abraham as the monotheistic legacy of an ancient, sun-worshipping pharaoh, Amen-hotep IV. Jack joins forces with Agent Ariel Hadar of the Israeli Antiquities Authority and Sami Salaa, a Palestinian boy of the streets, in an epic struggle for possession of the scroll, and an explosive truth which will upend religious history and shatter the religious legacy of Jews, Christians and Muslims.

Story Synopsis

There’s an oddly engraved museum token to interpret, a missing Dead Sea Scroll to find, a cabal of murderous high clerics, a nightmarish assassin, an important clue from a fourth century travel log and a long-forgotten proclamation of startling implication from The Prophet Muhammad. In a struggle for religious truth, the heresy of a long-dead Egyptian pharaoh reaches from the grave in an attempt to strangle the most fundamental belief of Jews, Christians and Muslims.

Jack Fisher has lost his priesthood, his family, and most of his faith when he receives an oddly engraved message from a friend and employer who has uncovered an ancient heresy threatening the foundation of belief of the world’s three great religions. Assisted by Agent Ariel Hadar of the Israeli Antiquities Authority (IAA) and a young Palestinian, Sami Salaa, Fisher finds himself caught amid kidnapping and murders in a fight for possession of a missing section of the Copper Scroll, the most mysterious of the Dead Sea Scrolls. A powerful Egyptian businessman and a secret organization of Jerusalem’s Chief Rabbi, Orthodox Patriarch and Grand Mufti contest the three for possession of the furl and the power of its secret. The search leads through the Old City of Jerusalem, onto the Judean Desert and to the Monastery of St. Catherine, at the foot of Moses’ Mount Sinai. Jack, Ariel and Sami find themselves in a final struggle for possession of the scroll and its secret power--irrefutable proof of monotheism’s origin with the Pharaoh Akhenaten and control over the fate of the world’s three great religious traditions.
