Vicki Hopkins is a paralegal by day and author/blogger by evening and weekends. She possesses an insatiable desire to write and holds a fierce determination to succeed as an author.
She made her writing debut on the Internet through the medium of blogging in January of 2008, some of which boast over 60,000 hits from 110 countries.
After years of wanting to try her hand at fiction writing, Vicki released her debut historical novel, THE PRICE OF INNOCENCE in November 2009. She is thrilled over the positive professional reviews and reader comments.
Vicki is excited to have recently released her second fiction novel, which is a continuation of the Phantom of the Opera. The book is a romantic mystery filled with suspense and love. It has stirred quite a bit of interest on the isle of Malta, due to the setting of The Royal Opera House. It is now available worldwide for purchase. The book was recently featured in The Sunday Times in Malta on August 22, with a favorable book review and author interview.
Vicki's desire at this time is to find an agent and move to traditional publishing. Her historical novels, set in France and Malta, are offered for foreign rights as well.
Author of three published works:
The Phantom of Valletta - a romance/suspense that is a continuation of the infamous Phantom of the Opera (July 2010).
The Price of Innocence - a historical fiction set in 19th century Paris (February 2010).
Lessons From the Phantom of the Opera - a non-fiction study guide (May 2009). This book was originally a blog, which now carries over 62,000 hits from 110 countries. At the request of many of my readers, I published all posts through May 2009 into book form, however, many more have followed. A second edition is scheduled.

Coffee Time Romance Gives 4 Cups to The Price of Innocence - "Price of Innocence is an extremely well written book, with splendid dialogue. The characters and scenery are vivid in their descriptions and examples. Readers are shown numerous aspects of the plotline, giving the book a depth few first novels achieve. Characters, both good and bad, are reflections of the times and readers get to see the root causes of the characters’ behavior, preventing them from being caricatures."
